Who we are:
An organization with the intention of improving our own wines, along with wine in the Midwest.
What we do:
This is an industry-driven initiative to provide an opportunity for producers to share information in a closed and formal, blind tasting environment with other winemakers from around the state of Missouri and the Midwest. These workshops are open to members only with the exception of the Midwest Grape and Wine Conference workshop which is open to all conference attendees.
We encourage all wineries from around the state and the Midwest, which produce wine to attend the workshops. Previous workshops have brought forth constructive dialogue and created the impetus to produce even greater quality wines from specific varietals. This is a great opportunity to evaluate other wines and get diverse opinions about viticultural and vinification practices.
We can all benefit from these workshops as we work to improve the quality of Missouri and Midwest wines.
Expect to learn
We taste all the wines blind and have an open and honest format, focused on education and constructive advice. One can expect to leave every workshop knowing more than when they arrived.
Membership:
Membership is available to winemakers or professionals working for a licensed winery or to those who have applied for a commercial winery license.
Annual dues are $15.00.
