The winery is located in downtown Weston, about 20 miles northwest of Kansas City, Missouri (take Exit 20 off I-29). Housed in an 1867 church building, the winery produces white wines from Cayuga White and Seyval Blanc; red wines from Norton, Chambourcin, St. Vincent, and Concord. The grapes are grown in the Pirtle's vineyard and by several local growers. The wines are available for tasting daily. |

Also produced are apple wine and mead (honey wine). Mead is believed to be the most ancient of fermented beverages. The Pirtle winery has attained a national reputation for superior mead.
